On July 1969 at Kennedy Space Center, President Kennedy got his wish.  The United States had the first manned landing on the moon.  The shuttle to land on the moon was called Apollo 11.  Manning the shuttle was Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins.  This site will tell about the details of Apollo 11's trip to the moon.
